An overview of best areas to stay in Nha Trang with family
In my opinion, Nha Trang City Center, Pham Van Dong street, and Hon Tre island are the top areas to stay in Nha Trang with kids. If your family wants to stay in the heart of the action, close to everything, the city center is the best base.
Nha Trang City Center is the area around Tran Phu Beach. It has a central location and offers easy access to major attractions such as Dam market, Long Son Pagoda, Nha Trang Cathedral, and Ponagar Temple. It is also packed with tourist amenities such as hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops.
If your family doesn’t mind being a bit further away from the city center, you can choose to stay on Pham Van Dong Street, just north of the city. It is the extension of the popular Tran Phu Street. You can find some all-inclusive resorts in this area.
For a tranquil and luxury family vacation on the island, I highly recommend Hon Tre island. This is a family-friendly island with Vinpearl’s facilities such as a resort and a themed park. YOu can choose to stay in Vinpearl or Mariot on this island.

I personally stayed in Vinpearl resort for a couple of nights and highly recommend it for my family. It is especially suited for those who want a relaxing and luxury beach holiday.
Vinpearl is located on Hon Tre island off mainland Nha Trang. To get to the resort, you’ll need to get to Vinpearl Land Terminal. It is only 6 km south of the city center and easily reachable by Grab. When you are at Vinpearl Land, the staff will help you to check in and guide you how to get to the island.
You can choose to take a speed boat or cable car ride. They can transfer luggage separately for you to your room at the resort. I recommend taking cable to the island, and speedboat when returning to the mainland to experience both modes of transport.
I only booked a buffet breakfast, but you can choose to have a buffet for lunch and dinner also. You can check out restaurants and shops at the Vinpearl Harbour shopping district.
My room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. It has views of the beach, the garden, and the pool. You can choose to stay in villas if you have a big family. There are options for one to four bed-room villas. Many of them include access to Vinwonder amusement park. You can even have a private pool for your family.
Vinpearl resort has a huge public pool area for both adults and children. Additionally, it has white sand and a pristine beach. You can have private diving and snorkeling lessons at each beach. You can hike to the top of Truc Lam or walk along the colorful ocean bridge.
The buffet breakfast at Vinpearl resort has a wide selection of dishes including Vietnamese and international food. You’ll have plenty of choices, fresh fruits, and drinks.

Liberty Central Hotel is a great mid-range hotel in central location in the city center of Nha Trang. I stayed here for a few nights and highly recommend it. It is within easy walking distance from Tran Phu Beach and a range of restaurants, shops, and cafes.
I think Liberty Central is a great option for families who are looking for a good 4-star hotel in the heart of Nha Trang. My room was a double room with a partial ocean view.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and lovely. Additionally, it has an outdoor pool, a gym, and a nice breakfast buffet area. They have beach facilities such as towels and loungers on the beach that you can use for free.

Meliá Vinpearl is a luxury hotel located in downtown Nha Trang. It is a high-rise building; you can spot it from many streets in the city. You can choose to stay in a room with a balcony for a stunning view of the city and the beach.
This location is close to everything. You’ll be within 5 minutes walk from the iconic Tram Huong tower, 3rd April Square, the night market, and Tran Phu beach.
Overall, if your family is looking for a luxury 5-star hotel in downtown Nha Trang, Melia is a great choice. It has facilities such as a swimming pool, a spa, and multiple onsite restaurants.

Citadines is one of the best places to stay in Nha Trang with kids. This is a mid-range hotel located on a prime location on Tran Phu street, just a block away from Nha Trang Beach.
It is a great base for sightseeing and beaches. You’ll be close to many major attractions such as Po Nagar Cham Towers, Ba Ho Stream, and Thap Ba Mud Bath.
THe hotel has a kid-friendly swimming pool and children’s playground which is a bonus for families. You can book a spacious room with ocean views and amenities such as a washing machine.

You can choose children-themed rooms as well as two to three-bedrooms villas with ocean views. Additionally this resort also has a kids club, multiple swimming pools, and a private beach.

Nha Trang has many family-friendly accommodations for all budgets, running from budget guest houses to 5-star resorts. You can also find many high rise apartments in this city at an affordable price.
I recommend staying in the city center if your family wants to be in the heart of the action. For a beach resort close to the city center, you can find some options on Pham Van Dong Street. For a luxury family vacation on an island, head to Hon Tre island.
